W.D.Y.F.L. U14's knock out cup Bicester Town Colts Foxes 8 Carterton 2 Carterton came to Bicester full of confidence after two league wins on the bounce and took a 1-0 lead after only 6 minutes. This kick started the Foxes into gear. Colts Foxes were awarded a penalty in the 10th minute when a Carterton defender pushed down Nathan Litten in the box, Litten then got up and took the penalty with confidence, leaving the keeper glued to his line. Foxes then went 2-1 up on their next attack. A direct free kick was awarded half way in the Carterton half, wide on the left wing and Ben Crooks put the ball into the net straight from the kick.

Kurash World Championships

Two members of Oxford Judo have just returned from Uzbekistan after taking part in the Kurash World Championships as part of the Great Britain team. Kurash is a Uzbek wrestling similar to judo.

U11's Athletics Challenge

On Friday 7th October the Oxfordshire Athletics Network are hosting an U11's Athletics Challenge at Horspath Athletics Track, Oxford. All children in school Yrs 5 and 6 are welcome - no athletics experience is necessary. Cost per athlete is £2.50 and they will take part in a 75m sprint, 600m run, long jump and vortex throw. Oxford Nepalese Youth Team taking part in Reading Cup,Reading

Nepalese youths residing in Oxford recently took part in the Reading Cup on 27th of August 2011.This was the very first time that the youths took part in this kind of event as a team to represent Oxford.The team successfully went through the pre-quarter final but unfortunately they did not manage to get on to the next round.The team was formed this year and hopefully with more trainings the Nepalese Youth Team will be playing a better game the next time.With thanks to Mr Kul Yongya , Mr Tika Paudel , Mr Krishna Phembho and the whole Oxford Nepalese currently living in Oxford and especially to Oxford Mail for publishing our story.We will be taking part in more of these events and representing Oxford.

The Oxford Lions Futsal Club, who were quarter finalists in the FA Futsal Cup two weeks ago have impressed the FA so much that they have been invited to play in the National Futsal League.
