Just what exactly is ‘affordable’ housing?
I’VE been left scratching my head as to what ‘affordable housing’ is.
As far as I can see there is no such thing! Anyone who thinks different is kidding themselves.
Like gold, platinum, and oil; bricks and mortar are a commodity.
And like gold, platinum and oil; they are worth as much as anyone is willing to pay for them.
The only way to get house prices down is to flood the market with houses, therefore lowering prices.
The whole Northern Bypass/A40 development is a bit of a start, but not even close to solving the problem.
