THE Iraq Report (letters Monday) confirms what every thinking person in this country already knew and that was that the country was not told the truth.

Every MP who voted for that action bears responsibility for it for Blair could not have done what he did without the consent of Parliament.

Blair was the messenger but our Parliament were the fools to follow him.

Most of them followed him to protect their jobs, a shameful stance given that so many of our fellow citizens in the Armed Forces were willing to sacrifice their lives in the line of duty.

Nothing can bring back the fallen but the MPs still in office can still acknowledge their mistakes to allow the nation to move forward and put both Blair and the great Iraq error behind us all.
