Improving cycle access is vital for green transport
REFERENCE the letter by Peter Newell (November 10). I do agree with the comments made about lack of planning and lack of cycle lanes.
It would appear cycle lanes are a ‘low’ priority for the county council. One only has to witness the opening of the new Oxford Parkway.
There is an absence of any improvements to the cycle way on the south east side to the station. The car rules. But if congestion is to be reduced, then improving cycle access is vital to a change towards environmentally friendly travel.
