Port Meadow war not over until flats shrink
I am writing to add to the chorus of disgust about the Castle Mill flats, facing Port Meadow.
They are basically huge sheds, completely obscuring the view of Oxford from the meadow and largely spoiling the pleasure of a walk there.
The university seems to agree that they are hideous because it wants to change their colour from grey to brown and partially hide them with trees.
The public says with one voice that this is totally inadequate and the top floors must be removed. The campaign to save Port Meadow will not be silenced until this is done.
