Drayton's Connor Ferguson produced a series of superb performances for Great Britain in their friendly clash against France.

The youngster was the leading light for the 12 and under team, recording three wins from his five matches.

Although Britain lost the match, Ferguson produced the best results of the visiting team.

The girls team from Our Lady’s, Abingdon were the 15th strongest school in 2013, according the LTA’s end-of-year rankings.

Their achievements included winning the regional division of the National Schools championships and reaching the final of the Oxfordshire year 10 event.

Oxford Sports beat Blewbury 7-1 to go top of Ladies Division 1 in the Thames Valley Winter League.

Sports have dropped just four sets in four matches.

In Men’s Division 2, Wychwood extended their lead by winning 5-3 away at second-placed Abingdon C.

Cholsey jumped to the top of Division 3 with an 8-0 win over Hanney.
