Oxford RL will hope for more of the same from star men Sean Morris and Callum Mulkeen when they visit Gateshead Thunder in Kingstone Press Championship 1 tomorrow.

Full back Morris was named the league’s player of the week for his two-try display in Oxford’s opening day victory over London Skolars.

The first of these two, a 90-metre effort after receiving the ball from Matty Hadden, earned Morris the league try of the week, while head coach Tony Benson described his performance as “sensational”.

Mulkeen, who also scored a try, made the team of the week.

Oxford RL: from Baird, Bentley, Benson, Blaney, Blewitt, Brooker, Crabtree, Connick, Clarke, Davies, Ellison, Evans, Hadden, Hoggins, Lynch, J Morris, S Morris, Mulkeen, Newton, O'Keeffe, Osborn, Parker, Rice, Roden, Rowland, Sharratt, Slade-Jones, Thompson, Winfield, Wright.
