LONDON Welsh were well beaten in their opening LV Cup clash against Exeter Chiefs at the Kassam Stadium today.
Exeter Full back Jack Nowell and wing Nic Testaret scored two tries apiece as their side came on strong in the final quarter.
Welsh, whose points came via five Gordon Ross penalties, faded badly after pulling the score back to 18-15.
Wing Mark Foster and lock Will Carrick-Smith also crossed for Exeter, with fly half Henry Slade kicking two penalties and three conversions.
