RUGBY UNION: Exiles coach Smith in Albion warning
OLLIE Smith has warned his London Welsh side they face “one hell of a test” when they visit Plymouth in the Greene King IPA Championship tomorrow.
The leaders hammered Plymouth 40-9 at the Kassam Stadium in September and the Devon side have won just three times this season.
But assistant coach Smith stressed that Albion will be a tough nut to crack at Brickfields.
“I know full well that down there it is going to be one hell of a test,” said Smith.
“They pushed Leeds to within a point and could have won the game if a drop-goal attempt had not landed just short.
“It is not going to be a nice running surface like the Kassam Stadium. It is going to be tough.”
Welsh produced a performance full of intensity to beat Leeds Carnegie last week and are out to maintain those standards.
Smith said: “We know that if we are not spot on with our play, it will become a very difficult game.
“These are the games we should be expecting to win if we want to get back into the Premiership.”
