Three London Welsh fans will represent the Exiles at Twickenham after winning a half-time kicking competition run by Championship sponsors Greene King IPA.
Duncan Nicholl, 56, Michael Davies, 22, and Gareth Jones, 42, demonstrated their skills with the boot during the club’s home defeat to London Scottish on Saturday.
The trio will now form part of a ten-stong London Welsh team against sides from the other 11 Greene King IPA Championship clubs, along with some special guest teams, during a one-day touch rugby tournament at Twickenham next May.
Davies said: “I’m well used to watching from the stands, but I never thought I’d get the chance to get on the Kassam Stadium pitch and have a kick myself – let alone win the chance to play at Twickenham!
“This is a once in a lifetime opportunity, so I’ll be training hard to make sure I do London Welsh proud!”
