OXFORD United lost 1-0 at Plymouth Argyle to fall out of the Sky Bet League One play-off places on a frustrating afternoon.
Gavin Whyte and Billy Bodin were denied by goalkeeper Michael Cooper in the first 20 minutes, while Matty Taylor lifted a shot over the crossbar.
Plymouth only had one effort on target but made it count, captain Joe Edwards volleying home the winner early in the second half.
