EXETER City boss Paul Tisdale believes Oxford United will provide a good test of how well his side are performing.
The Grecians are on a three-match winning run in Sky Bet League Two and four points adrift of the play-offs in 12th place.
Despite beating promotion contenders Portsmouth and Plymouth Argyle this season, Tisdale (right) believes United will offer the sternest test.
He told the Exeter Express & Echo: “Oxford is a great game for us because it will give us a good context as to how we sit as a team.
“They’re having a successful year and they’re one of the teams to beat.
“This is a good test for us on Saturday.
“It won’t be easy, but it won’t be easy for Oxford either.”
United beat the Grecians 3-0 on Boxing Day, but Tisdale does not think his players will draw too much from that game.
He added: “ It is a long time ago now and we have got our own focus away from the dip in results during the Christmas period.
“We just know Oxford are a very good team.
"We know we are going to have to be at our best and the next game is always the most important.
“It is a good barometer for us of where we sit.”
