Oxford United have reopened their earlybird season ticket offer for a further week.

The move was one of the first decisions made by new chairman Darryl Eales and chief executive Mark Ashton, who joined the club on Friday.

The deadline had passed last week, but they are now available until 5.30pm next Monday.

Ashton said: “We want to be open with the fans and we are all very aware that some of them were waiting to see what happened over the summer.

“Season ticket sales are already very healthy, but we wanted to give people one last chance to get behind us this season and buy at the earlybird prices.

“We will be looking to bring new players in during the transfer window.

“It would be great to see some of those fans who have been wavering come along and buy their season tickets and get behind the team this week.”

Hmm, no thanks. You, Appleton and the squad show you mean business and next season I'll put my hand in my pocket again. I would say 'once bitten' but for over 25 years Oxford United have been biting at my finances!

Sorry didn't spell check, that was "Ashton and Appleton" and "can walk the walk". Nothing whatsoever to do with Cuba.

Season Ticket sales are already healthy? Sounds like there is lies coming out the boardroom already, why else open/extend the earlybird offer for a week longer, fans arent fickle they know that sales are dramatically low and there is a valid reason

Most -myself included, like to have some idea just what we're paying up front for, so until we know what sort of squad the U's will start with we can only go on last seasons failings, no need to expand on that!
