Interesting comment from Tarkus. Mate I do not believe we have the money to spend and it would appear we want to significantly cut our playing costs and rely on the development squad. Tubbs going to the Dons is a surprise. I am sure he would have come here if the price was right. The club will see what season ticket money comes in and will then decide the playing budget. I do not expect us to be in the top half next season. We had our chance last season of play offs and we fluffed it up big time. I rather have a small squad of 19 good quality players than a squad of 24 players of which a third is no good.

And Matty Taylor preferred to go to non-League Bristol Rovers than return to us in the Football League...

As Tarkus has said, the lack of any information and signings coming from the club is extremely worrying and I wonder if IL is looking at ways of getting out as I suspect his adventure into football hasn't quite gone the way he had planned or hoped. It is a massive drain on his resources - resources he would rather be putting into his rugby league side in Wigan.

We all know the club is struggling financially and at the last forum IL said that if losses got to about a million a year, that would be the straw that broke the camel's back - well we've had two years of that kind of loss now. Problem is who would realistically buy a club with no assets apart from 1 or 2 players and a soulless stadium that the club pay an incredibly high rent for and very little chance of wrestling it from the landlord's grasp. Basically we are rapidly heading towards the proverbial creak and our paddle is looking at ways too escape before we hit it.
