OXFORD United booked their place in the third round of the FA Youth Cup with a 3-1 win over Bristol Rovers at Court Place Farm.
Goals from Owen James, Dan Carr and Jack Stevens saw the U’s secure victory.
They went 1-0 down after eight minutes when Carr fouled James Spruce in the area and the Rovers player picked himself up to score from the spot.
United equalised on 36 minutes when James fired home on the rebound after an Albie Hopkins shot was saved.
After the break, the hosts stepped up a gear and took the lead just after the hour mark as Carr fired past Liam Armstrong.
United secured their passage in the last minute when Stevens stroked the ball home from close range.
The U's could face Oxfordshire counterparts Clanfield 85 in the next round, who take on Dagenham & Redbridge tonight.
