OXFORD HC are celebrating after winning Investec English Ladies Tier 2 Cup with a 4-0 victory over East Grinstead 2nd at Lee Valley.
Two goals in each half took them to their first national title.
A superb save by keeper Louise Kay denied the Sussex side early on.
Oxford responded and Olivia Strickland put them ahead before Christy Barnard made it 2-0, tapping home Charley Ebbutt’s pass.
They came out full of confidence in the second half, and after applying the pressure, were rewarded with a third goal from Carlijn Ten Heggeler.
A reverse-strike at the top of the circle from Floor Timmer set up Barnard to score her second goal and complete a commanding victory
A delighted winning captain Katie Cox said: "It feels amazing to win.
“In the first half we had to try to get into it as we knew they would come out strong. We played as a team and worked hard for each other.”
