CITY of Oxford youngest swimmers finished second at Witney & District SC’s development relay gala.
Their ‘young raging bulls’ team, aged from eight to 11, were runners-up to Wycombe at the Windrush Centre.
Coached by Liz Basterfield and Lizzy Oliver, Oxford secured seven victories, 11 runner-up and 12 third places over 49 individual and relay events.
Tristan Dennis proved their most successful competitor, racking up four wins, three seconds and two thirds.
There were two victories each for Emma Sherwood and David Feng, while single successes came from Cameron Middleton, Ben Harkness, Jessica Bagley, Luca Robinson Cortes, Louie Ashton and Gabrielle Richmond.
Another member to contribute a lot of points to the Oxford cause was Scarlett Shorter, with three second and four third places.
City rattled up 185 points, buty Wycombe were clear winners of 235.
The other clubs competing were Witney, Wantage, Henley and Linslade.
