BLACKBIRD Leys duo Dane Simmons and Keenan Dalimore won their Home Counties Regional Development finals held at RAF Brize Norton.
Southpaw Simmons, fighting at under 69kg, dominated all three rounds against plucky Mike Mtigi (Bletchley), and went on to win by unanimous point decision.
It was a closer fight for Dalimore, competing in the under 76kg class, against Steve Hicks, of Brookside ABC.
Keenan boxed out of his skin, throwing great combinations to the body and head, but his opponent kept coming forward.
The Blackbird Leys youngster took the verdict on a split decision.
Simmons and Dalimore go forward to represent the Home Counties in their national quarter-final away Eastern Counties at a venue and date to be announced.
There was no joy for another Blackbird Leys boxer Daniel Robinson, who lost on a split points decision to Shea Field (Blumershe ABC) in his development final at Ware, Hertfordshire.
