LANCE Stroll cannot wait to sample the atmosphere of his home race tomorrow as the Formula 1 season reaches Canada.
The 18-year-old has endured a tough start to his rookie season for Grove’s Williams team, failing to finish in four of the six races so far.
But returning to home soil in Montreal serves as a boost in his attempts to score a first point.
Stroll said: “Montreal is going to be amazing for me, as this is my home city, which is buzzing while the race is on.
“I grew up about 20 minutes away from the race-track, so this will be something special.”
Nico Hulkenberg, who drives for Enstone’s Renault team, is relishing a return to the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.
He said: “On the drivers parade you usually get goosebumps when you see all the fans cheering, it is a lot of fun, especially when it’s a full house.”
Banbury’s Haas will be looking to build on the momentum generated in Monaco a fortnight ago, when both cars finished in the points for the first time.
Romain Grosjean said: “It shows that the team is now capable of finding the right set-up, the right strategy and going for it.”
