CHARLIE Case earned a share of the South Midlands Area novice riders’ title by guiding Breaking The Bank to a fourth consecutive victory at the Berks & Bucks Point-to-Point at Kingston Blount.
The 17-year-old produced another fine ride aboard the gelding, trained by his mother, Sarah, at Edgcote, near Banbury, and owned by his father, Ben.
“I’m always very nervous watching him ride, so there’s a big feeling of relief!” said Sarah.
“Charlie is growing in confidence.
He doesn’t have any plans to go professional so he’ll just carry on having fun pointing next year.”
Laura Thomas shares the novice riders’ title with Case, whose Breaking The Bank was the leading horse.
Aston Rowant handler Alan Hill retained his title as the leading trainer, with son Joe the top male rider.
Lockinge-based Katy Lyons picked up the women’s crown.
