KING Alfred’s Academy completed a double when they came from behind to win the Year 9 Oxfordshire Schools title.
In the final, the Wantage school trailed Cheney School, Oxford, in the first quarter, but fought back to win 64-55.
It is the second year in a row that the team have won the title.
Matt Bowler, director of PE at King Alfred’s, said: “To win the county championship twice in a row against stiff opposition is a brilliant achievement and testament to the team’s hard work in training and the excellent coaching from Emma Frost.”
