HEADINGTON teams enjoyed a triumphant end to the season by completing the Oxfordshire League Cup and Summertown Trophy double.

Their A team made it three titles in a row when they beat Shiplake 87-49 in the League Cup final at Kidlington.

After narrowly missing out on the league crown to Carterton, Headington showed no mercy to the first-time finalists Shiplake as they secured three successive cup triumphs for the second time.

Having scraped through the semi-final against City & County A, Headington’s skips Howard Watts, Jason King and Mark Charlett built up commanding leads on their rinks as they cruised to victory.

The cup was sponsored by Bridle Insurance, in addition to their backing of the league.
