Oxford City Stars received a boost before they get their NIHL South Division 1 campaign under way tomorrow with the signing of 18-year-old forward Logan Prince from Bristol Pitbulls.
He will makes his debut against Wightlink Raiders at Oxford Ice Rink (6.15).
As well as Prince, stars will hand first games to Joonas Liimatainen, Ben Nethersell, Dominic Hopkins, and netminder Mark Duffy.
Summer signing Matt Jordan will have to wait to make his first appearance at Oxpens as he is on honeymoon.
Stars will also be without Alan Green, who is suffering from a recurrence of a knee injury.
Mike Whillock and Josh Oliver are expected to return next week.
Andy Cox and Dax Hedges are still doubts because of illness.
The Raiders will provide a stern opening test for the Stars, having finished one place above them in third last season They have strengthened their roster over the summer with the addition of teenage netminder Nathan Gregory and defenceman Sam Cheema.
