Frazer Kernan was Bicester BC’s star turn with a stoppage victory in Witney Fight Club’s amateur show at Windrush Leisure Centre on Saturday.
The promising 14-year-old overcame and stopped his outgunned rival, Daniel Jones, in the third round.
Kernan put together some neat combinations in the first round.
And round two saw the Bicester fighter step up the tempo, using different angles in order to penetrate his opponent’s tight defence.
One minute into the round, Kernan landed a sickening left hook to the body that put Jones on the deck.
He got back to his feet and managed to survive to the end of the round before quitting in the third.
Bicester’s head coach, Daza Usher, said: “Frazer is very professional in his approach.
“I am very proud of how he has developed and I’m confident he will continue to improve and progress.”
Clubmate Logan Usher gained a technical knock-out win against Jamie Knee (Swindon).
His opponent failed to come out for the third round after taking a vicious right hook to the body at the end of the second.
There was also success for Bicester’s Dean Bennison, who scored a second round KO victory over Michael Lynch.
