EDDIE Pepperell dropped down the leaderboard at golf’s BMW Masters in Shanghai after carding a second round two-over-par 74.
The 24-year-old, from Abingdon, is in a share of 35th place after failing to build on a four-under-par first round.
An erratic opening seven holes saw Pepperell shoot two birdies, two bogeys and a further double bogey.
Another two bogeys soon followed, but he saved his round with a brace of birdies.
Denmark’s Lucas Bjerregaard shot a second successive round of six-under-par to take the lead, three ahead of Sergio Garcia and Thongchai Jaidee.
