Sam Waley-Cohen rides Oscar Time
Oscar Time, owner-trainer Robert Waley-Cohen’s Crabbie’s Grand National hope, has his warm-up for Aintree in a veterans’ chase at Doncaster today.
The 14-year-old was allotted 10st 5lb in the weights unveiled yesterday.
And Waley-Cohen, who is based at Edgehill, near Banbury, said: “Obviously Oscar Time, at the age of 14, will enjoy having as little weight as possible.”
MIDNIGHT Jazz (5-1), trained by Ben Case at Edgcote, near Banbury, upset 1-2 favourite Avispa at Taunton yesterday.
