Oxford City Stars have signed Slovakian defender Michal Tomasik, from HC Orelans in France, and he goes straight into the team to face play at Wightlink Raiders tonight (5.40).
The 31-year-old has been out of league hockey due to work commitments for two years, but Stars have talked him back More good news is that defenceman Zsolt Mastaleriu has recovered from the knock that kept him out of their defeat against Solent last Sunday and plays against Wightlink.
However, captain James Clarke is out as he continues to recover from a shoulder injury, with netminder Ryan Bainborough also unlikely to feature with an ankle injury.
Stars are waiting on Mike Whillock, who is suffering with an ankle injury.
Wightlink, the only team beaten by Stars this sea-son, have had mixed start with two wins and two defeats.
