OXFORDSHIRE Under 15 A opened their season with an emphatic 17-3 win against Wiltshire at Bartholomew School, Eynsham.
The hosts took all the girls’ singles ties and all the mixed doubles matches. Jamie Cackett and Charlie Shan, both of Abingdon, were unbeaten for the boys as were girls Natalia Mitchell, of Woodstock, and Didcot’s Maisie Marriott.
Meanwhile, Oxfordshire’s Dan Blair won a bronze medal in the Wales Under 17 Gold Tournament at Cwmbran.

The Didcot youngster progressed to the semi-finals without dropping a set before he lost to the eventual winner, Sam McKay from Ireland.
Blair also reached the last eight of the boys’ doubles with his partner, Ben Roberts’ of Brize Norton.
