The Museum of Oxford will come to life on the night of Saturday, 9th April, as the Rewind Time family day takes place.
The team behind the event, History Needs You, will be filling the museum with wonder as they impersonate key characters from Oxford’s history. They will be interpreting exhibits, running workshops, and putting a smile on the visitors’ faces.
One of the characters, the ‘professor of useless knowledge’, will be welcoming families and introducing them to some of Oxford’s historical heroes, in person.
A great group of historical characters significant to Oxford will be present, including the university of Oxford’s first female lecturer, Eleanor Jourdain. As well as Alice Liddell, the inspiration for the ‘Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland’ books by Lewis Carroll.
