STEVE Townsend won the Angling Trust Oxford Winter League title after the final round on the Oxford Canal.
The Drennan Oxford Aqua angler picked up 33 points from a possible 36 across the six competitions.
Townsend also helped his team qualify for the Winter League final, alongside Oxford Drennan Blue.
The match itself, which was fished between Kidlington and Oxford, was won by Sensas A4’s Kevin Holmes.
Drawing the bottom end peg at Kings Bridge, he had skimmers and roach on bloodworm fished over chopped worm and joker feed for a weight of 10lb 15oz.
Sensas Reading’s Darren Rogers claimed second place with 5.14.0.
Drennan Oxford Blue’s Steve Harwood clinched third with 5.4.0, thanks to two big late perch on pole fished over lobworm.
