OXFORD City Stars are boosted by the return of three players ahead of this weekend’s English National League double-header.

Josh Oliver, Mike Whillock and Alan Green return for tonight’s BBO Cup game at Bracknell Hornets (6pm) and tomorrow’s South Division 1 clash at home to Streatham (6.15).

Oliver and Whillock are back from holiday, while Green has recovered from injury.

All three took part in training on Wednesday and will be in the line-up this weekend.

Stars’ only absentees are Matt Jordan (honeymoon) and Mark Duffy (holiday).

Junior netminder Aaron Burton will deputise.

As a thank-you for the huge crowd at last week’s opening match of the season – a 4-3 defeat to Wightlink Raiders – Stars’ directors have reduced all ticket prices by 50 per cent for tomorrow’s clash.

Season-ticket holders are able to bring a guest for free.

Director James Schall said: “It’s not the smartest move when it comes to making money, but we’re building a successful team with a strong supporter base and sometimes you have to be smart in other ways.”
