For the second week running, Oxford Hawks could not hold on to a two-goal advantage and conceded a late score to draw 4-4.

This time their opponents were London Wayfarers, who snatched a point from their home South League Premier Division match.

After conceding an early goal, Hawks went 3-1 ahead through Jack Biggs’s penalty stroke and further goals from Rob Dunnill and Matthew Wood.

The hosts scored on the break to make it 3-2 at half-time.

Wood added his second to make it 4-2 after good work by Alex Williams, before Hawks were reduced to nine with cards shown to Williams and Dunnill.

Hawks survived that spell, but conceded again when they went back to their full complement.

They looked like hanging on, but a turnover on halfway led to Wayfarers scoring the equaliser in the dying minutes.

Goals from Nick Mayne and Tim Burns gave Oxford a 2-1 win at home to Eastcote 2nd in Regional Division 1.

Callum White picked up his first hat-trick as Bicester thrashed West Hampstead 3rd 8-0 in Middlesex Berks, Bucks & Oxon Division 1.

CJ Birtles scored twice, while their other goals came from Johnny Reid, Dave Sutcliffe and Jordan Chester.
