Medical student Chris Lim, playing his last game for Oxford Hawks before returning to Australia, scored the only goal in their 1-0 victory at home to Staines in South League Premier Division 1 on Saturday.
Hawks had to wait until ten minutes from time for the goal.
Lim flicked the ball wide of the goal, but it bounced off two Staines sticks before nutmegging the keeper Wallingford maintained their 100 per cent record this year with a convincing 4-0 win at home to Sonning in Regional 1.
The hosts raced into a 3-0 interval lead through Angus Jones, following a 26-pass move, John Craven and Rich Hawson.
Ed Allen added the fourth in the second half .
Leaders Oxford Hawks 2nd won away to Maidenhead, thanks to two goals from Mark Crowley plus a Matt Janes strike.
Witney registered their first point of 2015 with a goalless draw away to Oxford Hawks 3rd to move off the bottom of Regional 2.
