Oxford Hawks Ladies were beaten 3-1 at home to high-riding Havant in South Clubs League Division 1.

The visitors went ahead early on from a short corner and were 3-0 up at the break.

Hawks created some great chances in the second half, forcing several short corners, and Kathryn Poulter finished off one of them to reduce the arrears.

City of Oxford were involved in a thrilling 4-4 draw away to Hampstead & Westminster in in Division 3A.

Vicky Quantrell scored twice for City, who trailed 2-1 at half-time. Their other goals came Rachel Lammey and Christine Fraser.

West Witney moved up to second in the table with 6-1 and 3-2 wins over Oxford Hawks 2nd and Banbury respectively.

Hawks were undone by Sadie Lapper, who tore their defence apart with four goals, Joy Mangazi adding the other two.

Rachel Bellamy netted for Hawks.

Lapper added two more goals on Sunday to put Witney 2-0 up at half-time against Banbury.

The home side came out fighting in the second half and levelled with only a few minutes remaining, but Sunny Ricketts had the last word.

Banbury had drawn 2-2 at home to Southgate on Saturday.

After a goalless first half, Banbury went ahead through Natasha Nunneley, but Southgate scored twice in as many minutes to take the initiative.

Claire Armstrong grabbed the equaliser for Banbury. Bicester thrashed Wychwood 8-1 in Trysports Division 1, three of their goals coming inside the first ten minutes via Lilla Venning, Charlotte Cochrane and Tara Cochrane.

Further scores came from Cochrane (2), Lottie Batty, Jan Southam (pen) and Charlie Humphreys.
