OXFORD Hawks returned to form by thrashing visitors Henley 6-0 in South League Premier Division 1 on Saturday.

The hosts got the previous week’s 2-1 defeat to Spencer out of their system with goals in the opening ten minutes from Dan Rhodes and Si Robinson.

Henley had chances, but Sam Chilvers struck either side of half-time.

With Will Phillips pulling the strings in midfield, Hawks added further goals through Rhodes and Alex Williams, who rounded off the scoring with a high flick past the Henley keeper.

Oxford lost 2-0 away to Regional Division 1 leaders Eastcote.

The hosts scored against the run of play through a short corner in the first half.

Their second came from a breakaway midway through the second half.

Dan Smyth scored a hattrick as Oxford 2nd won 3-2 at home to PHC Chiswick.

While Oxford could have scored more, they were indebted to keeper Ollie Wickens.

Bicester moved up to third in Middlesex, Berks, Bucks & Oxon Division 1 with a 3-2 victory at home to Ashford.

After going behind early on, Bicester levelled through Andy Brown.

Ben Kirk put the hosts ahead early in the second half and although Ashford equalised, Jonny Reid smashed the winner.
