Oxford Hawks finished the first half of the season on a low note as they crashed 3-1 at home to new boys Old Cranleighans in South League Premier Division 1.

The teams started level on points in the table and this was reflected in a goalless first half.

Hawks produced a lacklustre second half, and went behind when a deflected shot looped over goalkeeper Phil Hargraves.

A defensive slip made it 2-0, and Cranleighans added a third from a short corner.
