Thunder and lightning curtailed the second-round action at the Turkish Airlines Open in Antalya where Eddie Pepperell was among the field, who were unable to complete 18 holes.

The Frilford Heath golfer recorded two birdies and two bogeys in his 12 holes to stay on under two under par.

That places 11 shots behind leader Ian Poulter, who is on 13 under par after 14 holes.

Poulter has a three-shot lead over Brendan De Jonge.

De Jonge is one of three players in the current top ten, who, with a high finish, could overtake Pepperell in the Race to Dubai and deny him a place in next week’s lucrative World Championship.
