VALE of White Horse Schools reigned supreme at the ESFA Isle of Wight Festival – being the only team to win all four of their games and also picking up the Bert Worrall Fair Play Shield for the first time.

They opened up with a 1-0 win over East Cornwall at Ventnor FC, with Jack Westhead scoring the winner in the second half.

A second 1-0 victory followed against Derby at Brading FC.

Goalkeeper Connor Johns made a brilliant fingertip save, before Jack Powell fired home a penalty in stoppage time after he was tripped in the box.

Vale made it a hat-trick of wins by crushing Hartlepool 8-1 at West Wight FC.

Aidan Davies and Westhead bagged braces, with Joel Thompson, Powell, Benji Anderson and an own goal making up their tally.

Vale completed their fantastic four-timer with a 2-1 win over the Isle of Wight at Rookley FC.

Vale went behind to a Luc Debaham penalty for handball just before the interval, but Anderson equalised and Powell’s free-kick won it.

Tervel Atanasov and Harrison Crick excelled in defence for Vale, while captain Seth Humphries was outstanding in midfield.

Vale’s four wins emulated the performances of their teams who achieved the same feat from 2005-2008.

And the fair play award also saw them collect the only trophy on offer plus a full new football kit courtesy of the sponsors of the award, PGL.
