ABINGDON Town are celebrating after Jack Hunter’s double helped the side beat Caversham Trents 3-0 and lift the Oxford Mail Youth League Under 16 KO Trophy, writes PAUL LYON.
After a goalless opening period, Declan Ross broke the deadlock with a header, before Hunter’s brace wrapped up the victory.
In the KO Cup final, Harwell and Hendred beat Oxfordshire Football Development 7-0.
Matthew Maudsley and Zac Skinner scored twice, with Harry Moreton, Harry Fisher and Alex Davis also on target.
Lewis Penny’s double helped Cholsey Bluebirds record a 3-1 A League win at Abingdon United.
William Thomas also netted, with Oscar Griffiths replying.
Carterton held on to win the Under 14 KO Cup, beating Quarry Rovers Nomads 3-2.
The victors had led 3-0, thanks to goals from Kyle Chester (2) and Daniel Lovick.
Quarry fought back, Jibreel Meddah and George Cox netting, but they ran out of time.
In the A League, Chima Iwuchukwa, George Walters and Ebo Aneju fired Kennington Athletic to a 3-0 win at Didcot Casuals.
Najay Foster and Callum Hall hit doubles to steer Tower Hill Stripes to a 6-0 win against Stonesfield Strikers in the D League.
Jack Bailey and Felix Green were also on the scoresheet.
Oxfordshire Football Development beat Tower Hill 6-2 in the Under 13 Winter/Spring A League.
Oliwier Orzechowski (2), Cuba Katito, Charlie Merriman, Anas Bouarioua and Louis Digweed scored for the victors. Ben Orton and Sam Belcher replied.
Abingdon Youth Yellow kept their Winter/Spring C League title hopes alive when beating Ardington & Lockinge 8-0.
Max Bound and Samuel Dominic scored braces, with Dylan Kaeuper, Daniel Knight, Nicolas Gibb and Brandon Leonard also netting.
Radley Youth beat Stanford Youth 6-4 in the Winter/Spring D League.
Billy Payne hit a four-timer for Radley, for whom Ethan Shead and Joshua Smith were also on target.
David Alder scored all four of Stanford’s goals.
Ellis Walker netted a double hat-trick as Kennington Athletic clinched the Under 12 Winter/Spring A League title, beating Faringdon Town 10-1.
Strikes from Kyran Wiggins (2), Bailey Stowell and an own goal, helped them to victory, with Harley Gough replying.
Max Hillier’s five-timer steered Quarry Rovers to an 8-0 win at Witney Vikings and the Winter/Spring B League crown.
Kenzie Taylor (2) and Chamsy Bourouba also netted.
In the Winter/Spring D League, Marcus Wilkinson (2), Daniel Jones and Jack Moorhouse fired Benson Lions to a 4-1 win over Watlington Town, for whom Lawrence Dew scored.
Jude Nixon and Max Collins fired Crowmarsh Youth to a 2-0 win over Kidlington Arrows.
Fraser Mackenzie’s five goals, and a Jonathan Coates effort, helped Mansfield Road Juniors beat Kidlington Youth 6-3, for whom Jake Owen hit a hat-trick.
Bardwell Youth secured the Winter/Spring E League title when beating Europa Titans 2-1.
Charlie McCloskey and Charlie Cotter netted for the victors, with Leo Clark replying.
