Oxford City School District progressed to the final of the Oxford United Inter-Association Schools Cup after a 4-1 victory over Vale of White Horse at Didcot's Loop Meadow Stadium.

Despite seeing Callum Crook have an early goal disallowed for offside, it was the City side who went ahead when Crook made no mistake after being played in by Latrell Humphreys-Ewers.

A fine piece of individual skill from Humphreys-Ewers saw him weave through the Vale defence before slotting him to double the advantage.

Sam Bailey came close for Vale, firing in a free-kick which whistled narrowly over the bar.

The second half saw a more competitive game with both sides enjoying periods of the ball.

But it was City who got the crucial third goal.

Connor Barrett advanced down the right wing and cut inside to find Crook, who turned his marker and fired over the head of keeper Thomas Bushnell for his second of the game. Great link-up play from captain Dejan Tetek and Claudio Osorio allowed Humphreys-Ewers to fire in and make it 4-0.

Vale got on the scoresheet when good play from Harry Evans saw the striker get the better of the City defence and find Rio Samson unmarked in the box to fire in.
