SUMMERTOWN Stars White overcame a strong Charlbury side 4-1 to top Group A in the Oxford Mail Girls League’s Under 12 League Cup.

The hosts are challenging for the Red League title, but found themselves 1-0 down at half-time thanks to Ana Sarwar’s strike.

Nayah Aitken equalised for Charlbury shortly after the break, but Stars would not be stopped, retaking the lead through Natalia Sved before Leschea Guiste added two more.

Benson United drew 2-2 at local rivals Crowmarsh.

United took the lead through Millie Parchment, but soon found themselves behind thanks to efforts from Iona Bielby and Kaitlin Lawrence.

However, Georgie Davis’s scrambled equaliser just minutes later ensured the points were shared.

Under 16 League leaders Kidlington marched on, maintaining their perfect record with a comprehensive 8-1 victory at home to Bloxham.

Natalie Sansom netted for the visitors, but that was merely a consolation as Abi Haynes hit a hat-trick, Milly Simmonds and Lucy Durham claimed a brace each and Amberley Vircavs also struck for Kidlington.
