Sadie Timbs and Farah Khan netted a hat-trick apiece as Abingdon Youth won 7-1 at home to Carterton Town in the Oxford Mail Girls League Under 13 Red League.

Timbs’s treble came in the first half, while Khan waited until after the break to notch hers, with Jevon Brown also among the goals. Ellie Walecki pulled one back for the visitors.

Oxford City began their campaign with victory, as an Olivia Thacker brace and Mollie Collier’s effort gave them a 3-0 victory at Summertown Stars.

Tower Hill Vixens netted six first-half goals on their way to a 7-0 triumph at home to Wantage Town.

In the Blue League, Kidlington held off a late challenge from visitors Tower Hill Vixens to claim a 3-2 victory.

Leah Southam, Holly Baker and Brooke Eagle goals had put the hosts three goals up at the break, but Vixens hit back in the second half with goals from Charlotte Mary Smith and Isabelle Riley.
