Didcot Girls School are celebrating an Oxfordshire Cup double.

They retained the Under 16 Cup with a 12-0 win over King Alfred’s Academy (Wantage) in the final at Oxford Sports & Social Club.

It came after they had also captured the Under 13 Cup for a second successive year with a 3-1 victory over St Gregory the Great (Oxford) at the same venue.

Gemma O’Donovan fired a four-timer for the under 16s, with Charlie Deeley and Jordan Harris bagging braces.

Gemma Archer, Ailie Lynn, Natalie Mutamba and an own goal completed Didcot’s tally.

Didcot’s under 13s found it tougher, before running out 3-1 winners.

Freeleigh Parnell, Hollie Springate and Holly Porter were the scorers.

Meanwhile, Didcot will face Highworth GS (Ashford, Kent) in the ESFA Under 14 PlayStation Schools’ Cup semi-final at the John Wallis 3G pitch on Tuesday, April 29 (2pm).

The team have also been invited to play at the National Football Festival at Lilleshall National Sports Centre over the May half term.
