STONESFIELD Strikers strolled to a 2-0 win against Barton United in the Under 13 League Cup. In a tie switched to Barton due to waterlogging, Stones-field dominated the first half of the Group A match.

Katie Appleton broke the deadlock after the break, charging down keeper Nadya Mussa’s clearance before firing in.

And it was all over when Annie Mundy burst forward before taking the ball around Mussa and slotting home.

Tower Hill Vixens saw off Banbury United 3-0 at home, thanks to goals from Maria-nne Hauer, Izzi Henthorn and Annie Dennis.

Bloxham Under 16s defeated Thame Under 16s 3-0 in their Under 16/17 League basement battle.

The fixture was reversed to Thame due to the wet weather and Bloxham took advantage with goals from Catherine Howse, Chloe Stallwood and Victoria Farries.

Elle Kaplicz scored two goals as Chinnor reached the Oxfordshire Under 16 Cup final with a 4-1 victory away to under 15 side Carterton.

Corri Fox and Megan Sharp also netted for Chinnor, while Natasha Reedy replied with Carterton’s consolation.
