Oxford Yellows took a big step towards retaining the trophy, after beating Premier Division leaders Barton United 4-2 in a high-profile second round match, writes TIM SIRET.

Yellows got off to a strong start, hitting the Barton bar twice before deservedly taking the lead when Sean Flaherty set up Nick Thorne to score.

Julian McCalmon equalised, only for Ryan Brooks to restore the lead.

A quickfire Mark Scanes double made the game safe, although Mark Janes did pull another goal back late on.

Yellows host Chinnor Sports in the next round.

Kings Arms Wheatley made hard work of their 2-1 win at Henley YMCA.

Luke Cuff scored both goals to set up a home tie with AFC Jericho, who beat Sonning Common United 6-1.

Jack Hayhurst smashed a hat-trick for Jericho, Aaron Williams, Paul Gillard and Lance New completing the scoring.

AFC Hinksey thrashed Division 3A high-fliers Blacks Head Bletchingdon 13-0.

Manager Gavin Preston and Jelroy Constant led the way, both smashing five-timers.

Steve Haines, Danny English and keeper Karl Adams also scored.

Hinksey face Railway Wheatley in round three.

Railway edged to a 2-1 victory over JET, thanks to a brace from Shaun Liptrot, the winner coming courtesy of a last-minute spot-kick. Nico Veillard had put JET ahead.

Rover Cowley eased past OUP Wanderers 5-0 in another all UTV tie.

They will now face Donnington in the next round after Craig Bloomfield (2), Carl Bloomfield, Stephen Walsh and Ryan Macer found the net.

Donnington, top of Division 1, beat Oxford FC, leaders in Division 2, 3-2.

Byrone Josey, Andy Conway and Aaron Barrett scored, with strikes from Lamine Sow and Sekou Bangoura proving in vain.
