10:00am Wednesday 3rd April 2013 in Sun Local
Marley Joseph hit a hat-trick as AFC Jericho won 6-1 at Dorchester to go second in the Critchleys Upper Thames Valley League's Premier League.
Ben Curtis bagged a brace and Aaron Wiliams also netted for Jericho, with Colin Royals replying for Dorchester, who kicked off with ten men before reaching the full complement later in the game.
Sam Webb was another hat-trick hero in Kings Arms Wheatley's crushing 9-2 victory at bottom club Yellow Eagles.
Jay Hill (2), Shaun Jacobs, Benji Cuff, Mark Catling and Lenney Sakey completed the visitors’ tally, with Lee Rendell and Ricky Goodenough the Eagles marksmen.
Red Lion Islip marched on at the top of Division 1 with an emphatic 5-1 win at Railway Wheatley.
Railway had no answer to Jimmy Deabill, who scored twice and laid one on for Mark White, who went on to net again.
Alex Gardiner also struck with a free-kick for the visitors, with Seb Warner’s strike providing Railway’s only bright spot. Ten-man Didcot Casuals defied the odds to earn a point in a 3-3 draw at home to Saxton Pirates.
Mike McKirnan (2) and Joe Murphy netted for Casuals, with Dean Costar (2) and Danny McArdle the Saxton scorers. Rob Joyce hit a hat-trick as runaway Division 2 leaders The Tree Grove stormed to a 6-1 win at Sutton Wanderers. Matt Pedder, Ollie O’Hanlon and Adam Bruce were also on target, with Jake Lewis providing Sutton’s lone reply. Graham Bettles’ late strike gave Abingdon Exiles a 3-2 win at home to Forest Hill. Russ Madley and Richard Walker gave Exiles the advantage only for Forest Hill to make it all-square, but Bettles had the last word.
