OXFORDSHIRE’S superb run in the FA County Youth Cup came to an end when they lost 7-2 to Middlesex in the semifinal at Thame United.
Dan Collins and Kei Chamberlain netted in the defeat.
VALE of White Horse Schools Under 14s’ hopes of winning the Vale Cup suffered a big blow when they lost 4-2 away to Cheltenham at Winchcombe.
Kieran Sutton gave Vale an early lead, but Cheltenham hit back to lead 2-1 at the break.
Harry Evans equalised, but Cheltenham scored twice more for a deserved victory.
The competition is played on a league basis, and Vale were favourites to win, but this result has thrown it wide open.
