LEE Timms smashed a hat-trick as Oxfordshire Senior League Premier Division leaders Adderbury Park hit back from two goals down to win 4-2 at Freeland.

Finding themselves trailing 2-0 after just 18 minutes courtesy of an own goal and an Alfie Saunders strike, it was Timms who put the visitors back in touch before the break.

After the break, Timms levelled the scores from the penalty spot following a handball in the area and Adderbury then took the lead for the first time when Gavin Connors’ corner went straight in.

Timms completed the job late on, smashing home a Charlie Hawkins centre to emphatically seal his treble.

Sean Hurcombe hit a second-hat-trick in two weeks as Oxford University Press kept pace with the leaders with a comprehensive 7-0 thrashing of home side Kidlington Old Boys.

Charlie Bough and Sam Wharton also scored, with a backheel from Neil Lockhart being the pick of the goals.

Launton Sports advanced into the next round of the President’s Cup with a 2-1 victory over Yarnton after extra time.

Launton goalkeeper Nick Lacey kept hosts Yarnton out for 80 minutes, but they finally broke the deadlock when Andy Paine headed them in front late on.

A header from Ben Cooke five minutes later sent the match into extra time and Sports won it in the 94th minute when Cooke collected the ball from Adam Dawe before striking into the bottom corner.

Josh Northam and John Umney bagged four goals each as Adderbury Park Res crushed Eynsham Res 10-3 in Division 2.

Louis Winkworth and Dan Butler were also on target for the hosts.

A brace apiece from Jamie Leonard and Jamel Velinor gave Launton Sports Res a 4-0 home win over Mansfield Road Res in Division 2.

  • RORY Mangan ended his four-year wait for a goal with the equaliser to give Fairview a 2-2 draw at home to Summertown Stars in the Oxford City FA League.

The hosts had taken an early lead through Sid Mobbs, but were staring at a fourth defeat after goals from Abul Hebbachi and Charles Appiah.

But Fairview stalwart Mangan saved the day, poaching a late leveller to earn a point.

Tim Small struck twice as Masons Arms won 2-1 at home to Wheatley Youth.

Roland Nuzi had cancelled out Small’s first-half opener, but he notched again after the break to secure the points for the hosts.
