ROBERT Brown fired a late winner to boost Chalgrove’s chances of staying up in the Oxfordshire Senior League's Premier Division as visitors Freeland went down 2-1.
A Jack Dunmall penalty put Freeland in front, but Calum Clewer equalised with a free-kick.
Brown made the difference ten minutes from time to move Chalgrove up to tenth.
It was a second game in three days for Freeland, who had won 4-0 at home to Mansfield Road on Thursday.
Dunmall netted a brace, with Danny Taylor and Tom Millar also on target.
Neil Lockhart’s double helped Oxford University Press on the way to a 4-2 home win over Horspath.
Sean Hurcombe and Sam Wharton completed their scoring, while the visitors replied through Drew Fowler and an own goal.
Bletchingdon followed up their Charity Cup win with a 4-1 success at struggling Launton.
Callum Lloyd (2), Mark Gaul and Andy McMahon ensured a comfortable win, with Mark Scanes notching the home side’s consolation.
Sean Kerr netted his first goal for Marston Saints, and bagged a second within five minutes as they won 3-2 at home to Adderbury Park.
Kane Adams was the Saints’ other scorer to seal victory despite James Gibbard and Josh Reilly netting for the visitors.
Broughton and North Newington ensured a top-three finish in Division 1 as they finished off with a 4-2 win at North Oxford.
Jonny Hopcraft scored twice, along with efforts from Laurence Caro and Johnathon Bedding.
Sid Hamis and Dale Cameron were on target for the home side.
Oxford University Press Res came from 2-0 and 3-2 down to draw 3-3 at home to Stonesfield Res.
George Redknap (2) and Nick Bucknell put the visitors in control, but they were pegged back by Sean Berry (2) and Diego Petriaggi.
Jamie Smith’s brace gave Yarnton Res a 2-1 win at home to Broughton and North Newington Res in Division 3. Sam Wyatt registered for the away side.
Oakley Res made it two victories out of two in Group C of the Archie Goddard Cup as they won 2-1 at Eynsham Res.
Ian Law put the hosts in front, before efforts from Daniel Barrett and Adam Pike proved crucial.
Kyle Forbes scored the only goal as Adderbury Park Res won 1-0 at home to Charlton Res in Group D.
Mansfield Road take on Oakley United (11) in the Presidents Cup, before Adderbury Park Res face Stonesfield Res for the Clarendon Cup (2.30).
