A brace of goals for recent signing Henry Owen was the highlight of Kidlington’s 5-0 trouncing of visitors Binfield in the Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division.

The hosts had to wait until the 33rd minute before taking the lead, Owen heading home his first goal for the club from Eric Odhiambo’s free-kick.

Just after the break, Mark Flanagan hacked a Binfield shot off the line, but it was all Kidlington from then on.

A chipped goal from Anaclet Odhiambo made 2-0 after 58 minutes.

Then the Odhiambos combined for Owen to poke home his second and the hosts’ third goal.

Lewis Coyle added the fourth with a magical free-kick before substitute Ryan Brooks added the fifth in the last minute.

Letcombe bowed out in the second round of the Bluefin Sports Cup when they lost 1-0 to Cirencester Town Development XI.
